Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Stompy Cheat strategy commanded by Raph & Mikey, Troublemakers. The game plan revolves around accelerating through the early turns using dense land ramp and mana artifacts to reach seven mana by Turn 5. Because the commander possesses innate haste and trample, it immediately attacks the turn it arrives, triggering a free polymorph effect that cheats a massive creature from the library directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. With 14 colossal threats in the 99—including Blightsteel Colossus, Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, and Balefire Dragon—every trigger delivers overwhelming board pressure. The deck rapidly closes the game across two subsequent turn cycles using heavy trample damage, infect, and extra combat spells such as Relentless Assault and Seize the Day. Backup enablers like Sneak Attack and Defense of the Heart ensure high resilience if the commander is removed.
