Hylda Control V2 by James803

Format: Commander

Commander: Hylda of the Icy Crown

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Hylda of the Icy Crown leads a Azorius tap-control deck that turns every ability to tap an opponent's creature into incremental value. The core loop is: tap an opponent's creature pay {1} create a 4/4 Elemental token, put +1/+1 counters on your team, or scry 2 and draw. The deck packs over a dozen repeatable tap outlets (creatures, enchantments, instants) and a handful of untap enablers to reuse them. A three-card infinite-mana combo-Aphetto Alchemist + Freed from the Real + Azorius Signet or Talisman of Progress-provides a compact win, feeding Hylda's token-generation mode for an endless army. Secondary plans involve controlling the board with Opposition, Intruder Alarm, and Verity Circle for card advantage, eventually overwhelming opponents with Elemental tokens and evasion creatures.
