Deck overview

This Caesar, Legion's Emperor deck is an aggressive Mardu token aristocrats and burn strategy designed to overwhelm opponents through combat pressure and noncombat life drain. The deck deploys low-cost token generators, utility creatures, and acceleration during the early turns before casting Caesar on Turn 4. By attacking and sacrificing expendable tokens, Caesar replaces lost bodies with hasty Soldiers, replenishes card advantage, and burns opponents. When combined with ETB damage sources like Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors, alongside trigger multipliers such as Isshin, Two Heavens as One and Delney, Streetwise Lookout, the deck rapidly scales damage across the entire table. High-efficiency removal and robust defensive spells like Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver keep the engine safe from opposing sweepers. The deck consistently achieves a critical must-answer board state on Turn 5 and closes the game on Turn 6.
