Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Pirate tribal reanimator strategy commanded by Admiral Brass, Unsinkable. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost Pirates, establishing mana acceleration via Signets and Treasure generators like Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator, and stocking the graveyard through self-mill, looting, and combat trades. On Turn 5, casting Admiral Brass triggers self-mill and immediately reanimates a high-impact Pirate as a 4/4 with haste during combat. Heavy hitters like Dire Fleet Ravager, Angrath's Marauders, and Port Razer severely pressure opposing life totals, while mass pump effects like Shared Animosity and asymmetric bounce spells like Raise the Palisade break parity. The deck recovers reliably from removal thanks to commander-centric reanimation and tribal redundancy, though its low density of instant-speed protection leaves it somewhat vulnerable to well-timed sweepers and graveyard hate.
