Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Reanimator strategy commanded by Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator. It leverages Vohar's cheap casting cost and built-in looting ability to reliably deposit high-impact creatures into the graveyard on early turns. Backed by 15 reanimation spells, the deck cheats massive threats like Archon of Cruelty, Grave Titan, Sepulchral Primordial, and Overseer of the Damned onto the battlefield as early as Turns 3–4. Once established, these creatures generate compounding card advantage, board control, and life-drain triggers that grind down opposing life totals. Vohar's secondary ability provides crucial spell recursion, allowing powerful sorceries and removal spells to be recast from the graveyard. While the deck possesses remarkable redundancy and recovery against standard creature removal, its reliance on combat damage gives opponents multiple response cycles, and it remains vulnerable to dedicated graveyard exile and resolved noncreature permanents.
