Deck overview

This deck leverages Baron Helmut Zemo to cheat massive, high-mana black spells into play. By casting low-cost black spells and using focused graveyard tutors like Buried Alive and Entomb, the deck fills the graveyard with dense black mana symbols. Once Zemo attacks, his Boast ability exiles 15 black pips to cast up to three devastating spells for free, including Archon of Cruelty, Doomsday Excruciator, and Rise of the Dark Realms. A strong backup suite of reanimation spells ensures that large threats can enter the battlefield even if the commander is removed. Efficient removal spells and sweepers like Toxic Deluge and The Meathook Massacre keep opposing boards clear while your engine develops.
