Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity mono-red burn and group slug strategy led by Solphim, Mayhem Dominus. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap spellslinger pingers such as Firebrand Archer and Guttersnipe, followed by casting Solphim on Turn 4 to double all noncombat damage dealt to opponents and their permanents. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into a lethal threat by chaining symmetrical burn spells like Flame Rift, Boltwave, and Fiery Confluence, which deal amplified damage across the entire table. Alternate damage multipliers like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell and Fiery Emancipation provide strong redundancy if Solphim is targeted. The deck controls the board using damage-based sweepers that double as asymmetrical board wipes under Solphim, while anti-lifegain and tax pieces like Sulfuric Vortex and Manabarbs ensure opponents cannot easily stabilize against the clock.
