Golgari Elf deck (mid work)

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Lathril, Blade of the Elves deck is a classic Golgari Elf tribal build that aims to overwhelm opponents with a massive army of Elf tokens, then drain the table through Lathril's activated ability or a suite of life-gain-drain synergies. The primary game plan is to accelerate with mana dorks, deploy Lathril early, generate tokens with her combat damage, and pump the board with lords. Once enough Elves are assembled, Lathril's tap ability can deal 10 damage to each opponent, or alternative payoffs like Shaman of the Pack, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord with Lord of Extinction, and the Sanguine Bond/Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose drain loops can close out the game. The deck also includes moderate recursion and a handful of removal spells, but lacks stack interaction and relies heavily on creature combat.
