Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan midrange combat deck that merges go-wide token production with +1/+1 counter scaling. Helmed by Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan, the engine sacrifices disposable tokens on entry or attack to distribute counters across the entire board. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with low-cost ramp pieces and establishing expendable token generators like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and Staff of the Storyteller. In the mid-game, Felothar and cards like Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest rapidly inflate the board, while keyword grantors like Abzan Falconer and Duskshell Crawler convert raw stats into unblockable combat pressure. The deck backs up its board development with an efficient suite of instant-speed removal and dedicated board-protection spells such as Flawless Maneuver and Inspiring Call, ensuring its army survives sweepers long enough to eliminate the table across Turns 6 through 8.
