Deck overview

This is a Golgari sacrifice-and-reanimator value deck built around Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The plan is to deploy cheap fodder, kill it deliberately to accrue experience counters, then let Meren's end-step trigger return a creature from the graveyard every turn. Death triggers power a heavy draw suite - Moldervine Reclamation, Deathreap Ritual, Grim Haruspex, Morbid Opportunist, Skullclamp, and Greater Good - while Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos turn each sacrifice into table-wide removal. The reanimation package (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Victimize, Dread Return, Rise of the Witch-king, Cauldron of Essence, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and the flipless recursion engine Atzal, Cave of Eternity from Journey to Eternity) makes the graveyard effectively a second hand. Victory comes from grinding: recurring Gray Merchant of Asphodel, attacking with reanimated Archon of Cruelty and Grave Titan, or a one-shot table drain from Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord sacrificing a huge Lord of Extinction. There are no infinite combos.
