The Reaper, King No More by user9098293

Format: Commander

Commander: The Reaper, King No More

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a -1/-1-counter control/combo deck that grinds with wither, toughness suppression, and graveyard theft before closing with a three-card loop. The commander, The Reaper, is a value piece: its ETB spreads counters and its triggered ability steals the resulting corpses, but it is not the combo anchor. Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons is the hidden commander; with Blowfly Infestation and Flourishing Defenses she creates an infinite death/token loop, and Mirkwood Bats or Grave Venerations turns it lethal. Secondary paths are Commander-damage/toughness-lock beats under Maha and Kulrath Knight, plus recursion of creatures through Aberrant Return, Bloodline Bidding, and Puppeteer Clique. There is no double-faced commander.
