Deck overview

Kros, Defense Contractor is a Bant goad and +1/+1-counter politics deck. The primary plan is to give opponents' creatures shield counters, then tap, goad, and grant them trample so combat flows away from you while your own creatures grow exponentially through Branching Evolution, Court of Garenbrig, Byrke, and related multipliers. The secondary, faster path is the Rosie Cotton + Scurry Oak infinite squirrel/counter loop, which creates arbitrarily large attackers and closes the game the following combat. Kros is not an engine for that combo; he is pillow-fort protection and card advantage with Generous Patron and Willbreaker. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around the counter/goad core, with Rosie/Scurry as a compact finisher.
