Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive yet resilient poison and proliferation strategy commanded by Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. The core game plan is straightforward: inject initial poison counters into all opponents during the opening turns using efficient infect, toxic, or direct poison spells, and then leverage Atraxa alongside secondary proliferate engines to tick those counters up to 10 without needing further combat connections. The deck features strong individual interaction, including free commander spells like Fierce Guardianship and Deadly Rollick, blanket protection like Teferi's Protection, and game-shifting top-end threats such as Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus. Because it does not rely on infinite combos or fast-mana acceleration, it functions at a focused midrange pace, typically establishing a critical poison clock on Turn 5 and closing the game around Turn 7.
