Deck overview

This Izzet deck is built around the partner pairing of Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, designed to leverage explosive Treasure generation and assemble a compact game-ending combo. Its primary victory route utilizes Glint-Horn Buccaneer: once Glint-Horn attacks, activating its rummaging ability deals damage to each opponent, which causes Malcolm to generate three Treasures and create an infinite damage loop. Kediss supplements early turns by tripling Malcolm's Treasure production upon connecting, fueling rapid mana expansion into robust interaction. The deck protects its win attempts using an extensive suite of low-cost countermagic and redirection, including Deflecting Swat, Pact of Negation, and Swan Song. Backup lines rely on Niv-Mizzet, Parun paired with Curiosity effects to draw out the library and eliminate the board. While light on proactive stax elements, the list features fast assembly, efficient protection, and immediate lethality upon initiation.
