Purr Majesty - The Queen Marchesa by lalgal

Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa is a Mardu monarch/politics deck built around the single-faced commander. The primary plan is to become the monarch as early as turn 3-4 and hold the crown with tax effects, combat deterrents, and goad spells while opponents fight each other. Secondary paths are an incremental commander-damage clock (Queen Marchesa has haste; Boros Charm and Duelist's Heritage can give double strike) and a token/drain engine using Court triggers, Assemble the Legion, and Aggravated Assault. Court of Embereth acts as a hidden finisher: once the board is wide, its upkeep trigger deals lethal damage to all opponents. The deck is not a combo deck; it wins by attrition, repeated evasion, and monarch-value accumulation.
