Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Sultai Elf tribal deck is built around Thranduil, the Elvenking's signature ability to borrow every activated ability from Elf cards in the graveyard. The deck fills the yard with utility Elves - Woodland Weavemaster for mana, Elvish Piper for cheating creatures, Haldir, Lorien Lieutenant and Galion, Elvenking's Butler for pumping - then lets Thranduil wield them all at once. A landfall subtheme (Beorn's Hospitality, Dancing from Dark to Dawn, Thranduil's Company) grows the board, while legendary Elf ETBs trigger Thranduil's draw-two. The primary win is overwhelming combat: Last March of the Ents and Kindred Summons dump the deck's Elf population onto the battlefield, and Arboreal Alliance populates copies. Secondary lines include commander damage via the equipment package (Sting, Bilbo's Sword, My Precious, Lothlorien Blade) and Plea for Power's extra turn. It is a value-midrange engine that grinds into a critical-mass swing.
