New Elf Golgari (early work)

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Elf-tribal build that wants to generate a critical mass of Elf tokens, then convert that mass into life loss through Lathril, Blade of the Elves's activated ability and a small lifegain-drain package. The deck accelerates with one-mana Elf dorks like Llanowar Elves and Priest of Titania, builds a wide board with Imperious Perfect and Lathril's attack trigger, and finishes either by repeatedly activating Lathril or by turning the swarm sideways with Scale Up. Secondary drain payoffs such as Shaman of the Pack, Defiant Bloodlord, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Starscape Cleric close out games once lifegain triggers start firing. There are no infinite combos; this is a fair, mid-speed tribal deck that wins through board presence, drain repetition, and modest recursion.
