Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Theft Midrange strategy helmed by Don Andres, the Renegade. Its game plan revolves around exiling and casting cards from opponents' libraries and graveyards, turning opposing threats into buffed attackers with menace and deathtouch while generating Treasure tokens from noncreature spells. Early turns focus on accelerating mana through artifacts and cheap pirates like Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer. By turns 3 to 4, the deck deploys Don Andres and establishes continuous theft engines such as Laughing Jasper Flint, Breeches, Brazen Plunderer, and Gonti, Night Minister. On turns 5 to 6, it converts stolen bombs and burn from Passionate Archaeologist into overwhelming pressure, threatening a lethal finish across multiple combat steps by turn 8. It also holds an alternate instant win via Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame. Its chief vulnerabilities are reliant board states vulnerable to creature sweepers and dependence on opposing card quality.
