Deck overview

This deck utilizes Wick, the Whorled Mind at the helm of a Grixis Rat typal and aristocrats strategy. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost mana acceleration, value engines, and Rat creatures to establish a board presence. Once Wick enters the battlefield, every entering Rat creates and grows a Snail token with +1/+1 counters. The deck converts these counters into lethal multi-opponent direct damage and card advantage using Wick's activated ability. In addition to direct burn, the deck applies severe combat pressure through typal lords like Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm and Marrow-Gnawer, amplified by enchantments like Shared Animosity and Impact Tremors. A flexible removal suite and efficient counterspells protect key plays and interact with opposing win attempts.
