Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet chaos and group-draw engine commanded by Ian Malcolm, Chaotician. The core strategy revolves around turning universal extra draws into an asymmetrical resource advantage. By deploying symmetrical draw permanents like Howling Mine, Kami of the Crescent Moon, and Dictate of Kruphix, the deck ensures that every player draws a second card on their turn, triggering Ian Malcolm to exile cards into a shared pool that you can cast using mana of any type. Disruptive enchantments such as Possibility Storm and Confusion in the Ranks scramble opposing lines while leaving your exile-cast triggers fully operational. The deck closes out games by assembling The Locust God to generate lethal flying swarms, forcing fatal draw triggers via Forced Fruition, or resolving the two-card combo of Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity to ping the entire table to zero.
