Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov midrange strategy that blends legendary creature combat synergies with classic aristocrats drain mechanics. Led by Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness, the deck rewards casting colored spells by placing +1/+1 counters onto legendary permanents while granting them menace and vigilance. Multicolored Orzhov spells trigger both modes simultaneously, rapidly scaling threats such as Drana, Liberator of Malakir, Estinien Varlineau, and Sengir, the Dark Baron. In tandem with aggressive combat, an aristocrats subtheme powered by Teysa Karlov, Cruel Celebrant, Blood Artist, and Bastion of Remembrance ensures that opponent sweepers or sacrificial trades drain the table. While the deck lacks high-speed mana acceleration and unconditional tutors, it compensates with efficient spot removal and flexible recovery lines.
