Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov enchantress and pillowfort strategy commanded by Eriette of the Charmed Apple. Its core game plan revolves around playing low-cost Auras that neutralize opposing commanders and key beaters while turning them into passive assets. Because Eriette prevents any creature enchanted by an Aura you control from attacking you or your planeswalkers, the deck efficiently pacifies the table without giving up board presence. At each of your end steps, Eriette drains each opponent for life equal to the total number of Auras you control and restores your life total by the same amount. Card-draw enchantresses such as Sram, Senior Edificer and Mesa Enchantress keep your hand full, while cost reducers like Killian, Ink Duelist allow multiple Auras to be chained in a single turn. Drain doublers like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and wide token creators like Hallowed Haunting rapidly accelerate the clock to close out the game.
