Deck overview

This is a blue-black theft-value tempo deck built around Grima, Saruman's Footman. Grima is an unblockable 1/4 whose combat trigger exiles through an opponent's library until it finds an instant or sorcery and casts it for free, so the entire deck is designed to make him hit early, hit often, and hit harder. The deck surrounds him with trigger-doubling (Strionic Resonator, Gogo, Master of Mimicry, Wizard's Staff), cheap evasion/ward equipment (Brotherhood Regalia, Falcon's Wing Harness), and a scaling kill package (Blackblade Reforged, Leyline Axe, Genji Glove, Helm of the Host) that turns one unblockable connect into a 21+ commander-damage elimination. Backup plans include casting from opponents' libraries via Brainstealer Dragon, Rev, Tithe Extractor, and Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor, cloning with Rite of Replication and The Cloning of Shredder, and instant/sorcery payoffs like Talrand, Sky Summoner. The deck wins through combat and value accumulation rather than infinite combos.
