Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Simic Landfall and Cheat-into-Play archetype commanded by Zimone, Mystery Unraveler. The strategy leverages a dense 0–1 CMC fast mana package to deploy Zimone on Turn 2 or Turn 3, followed by utilizing fetchlands and extra land drop enablers to trigger Zimone's dual landfall ability. The first landfall trigger manifests dread to put a card face down as a 2/2 creature, and the second trigger turns that permanent face up for zero mana. By loading the deck with devastating bombs like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Omniscience, Void Winnower, and Hullbreaker Horror, the deck creates an oppressive must-answer state on Turn 4. Opponents are stripped of cards and locked out of spells, allowing the pilot to untap on Turn 5 and close the game via Finale of Devastation for over 120 trample damage. A robust suite of free counterspells and uncounterable channel lands protects this sequence from disruption.
