Deck overview

This Boros artifact deck focuses on the modular mechanic, led by Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp. Zabaz enhances all modular triggers by adding an additional +1/+1 counter whenever counters are placed on your creatures, while acting as a cheap sacrifice outlet and an evasive attacker. The deck develops by playing low-cost modular artifact creatures, generating board-wide counters with Steel Overseer and proliferate triggers from Metastatic Evangel and Surge Conductor, and redistributing power seamlessly via Arcbound Ravager. Asymmetric board wipes like Damning Verdict and Organic Extinction clear opposing blockers without touching your modified artifact army. Evasion providers such as Abzan Falconer and Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp ensure large creatures connect for lethal damage, while Walking Ballista converts built-up counters into direct reach. A dense suite of single-mana protection spells shields your key threats from spot removal.
