Deck overview

This Golgari Squirrel-tribal deck, helmed by Hazel of the Rootbloom, pursues a token-overwhelm strategy that marries explosive mana generation with infinite-combo lethality. The commander taps your army of tokens for any colour of mana, turning a wide board into a turbo-charged mana battery, while her end-step copy effect doubles your best token each turn. The primary win condition is the infinite loop between Scurry Oak and Ivy Lane Denizen: every +1/+1 counter on Scurry Oak creates a Squirrel token, which triggers Ivy Lane to put another counter, netting infinite creatures and infinite +1/+1 counters. With Hazel or Citanul Hierophants on the battlefield, those infinite Squirrels tap for infinite mana, fueling an Exsanguinate that drains the table. Secondary paths include combat through mass pumps like Preposterous Proportions and the incremental value of Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Peregrin Took. The deck is resilient through redundancy in token generation and a suite of instant-speed interaction, but it lacks stack-based protection.
