Commander: The Mycotyrant

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Golgari graveyard-aristocrats deck helmed by The Mycotyrant. The plan is to flood the yard through dredge, mill, and sacrifice, then convert that density into Saproling/Fungus tokens via the commander's descend trigger while looping self-recurring creatures through sacrifice outlets. Primary wins are infinite aristocrats drains (Gravecrawler or Nether Traitor plus a drain piece), Altar of Dementia mill, and Syr Konrad, the Grim/Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord life-loss payoffs; combat with a massive Mycotyrant and token swarm is a real backup. The commander is a strong value engine and finisher but is not required for the combo lines living in the 99. Expect a midgame engine that turns permanent-to-yard events into board presence, card advantage, and table-wide drain.
