Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue tempo and combat-saboteur strategy commanded by Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap creatures with power or toughness 1 or less, making them unblockable through Tetsuko's static ability. By connecting freely with opponents, the deck triggers powerful saboteur effects like Bident of Thassa, Coastal Piracy, and Ninjutsu abilities from cards like Ninja of the Deep Hours and Moon-Circuit Hacker. This massive card flow fuels a dense suite of countermagic to protect the board from sweepers while disrupting opponents' key spells. As the game develops, threats such as Mist-Syndicate Naga, Quietus Spike, and Stolen Identity turn small unblockable pings into game-ending combat pressure. The deck operates smoothly on curve, relying on sustained card velocity and stack control to close out the game over several attack cycles.
