Deck overview

Blech, Loafing Pest commands a Golgari aristocrats and token swarm strategy centered around five creature types: Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. Every life gain instance places a +1/+1 counter across your swarm, rapidly scaling expendable tokens into substantial combat threats. The primary win condition combines wide board attacks powered by counter doublers like Branching Evolution with heavy combat swings. In stall situations, the deck pivots into an aristocrats finish, using drain staples such as Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, Dina, Soul Steeper, and Mirkwood Bats alongside burst sacrifice outlets like Plumb the Forbidden and Tend the Pests to drain all opponents simultaneously.
