Deck overview

This deck uses Satoru Umezawa to cheat devastating high-mana creatures into combat for just four mana. The game plan opens with inexpensive unblockable creatures such as Slither Blade and Ornithopter. Once Satoru enters the battlefield, any unblocked attacker can be swapped for massive threats like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, It That Betrays, or Lord of the Void using universal ninjutsu. Satoru smooths card flow by filtering the top three cards of the library whenever ninjutsu activates. Premium free interaction including Fierce Guardianship and Deadly Rollick protects Satoru while keeping all four mana open for activations. Although the deck wins through traditional combat damage rather than infinite combos, landing an oppressive Praetor or Eldrazi on Turn 4 strips opposing resources and establishes insurmountable board presence to close the game over successive turns.
