Birds of a feather by Ooowee

Format: Commander

Commander: Kastral, the Windcrested

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kastral, the Windcrested is the engine of a Bird-tribal tempo deck. The primary plan is to deploy cheap evasive Birds, trigger Kastral's combat ability to draw, pump, or reanimate Birds from hand/graveyard, and finish with anthems and flying combat. Secondary paths are Kangee's attack pump, Tempest Hawk's self-tutor chain, and Meneldor's repeated flicker for value. The commander is not double-faced; there is no hidden commander. The deck wants to dominate the air in the mid-game, using counterspells and bounce to clear blockers/protect the engine, then close with a critical-mass volley of flying damage. Warden of Evos Isle and Teshar smooth the curve and recursion, while The Raven's Warning and Sally Sparrow provide incremental advantage.
