Deck overview

This is a toughness-matters "wall" deck helmed by Doran, Besieged by Time. The plan is to deploy a board of high-toughness defender creatures, use Doran's cost reduction to cast them cheaply, and turn their toughness into damage through Doran's attack/block pump and backup enablers like Assault Formation, Felothar the Steadfast, and Baldin, Century Herdmaster. A life-gain/drain subtheme - Indulging Patrician, Rhox Faithmender, Betor, Ancestor's Voice, Wall of Limbs, and Blight Pile - fuels the board and closes the game. The deck wins primarily through combat with a huge, unblockable wall army, with mass recursion (Colfenor's Urn, Reunion of the House) to rebuild after wipes. It is a slow, grindy, defensive deck with strong inevitability once the toughness engine is online.
