Deck overview

This Kaalia of the Vast list is an aggressive battlecruiser strategy designed to cheat game-ending Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly into combat. Supported by an efficient 2-mana rock ramp package, the deck consistently powers out Kaalia by Turn 3 to swing on Turn 4. Once Kaalia attacks, she bypasses steep casting costs to drop devastating threats such as Sire of Insanity, Master of Cruelties, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. While the deck boasts immense explosive potential and crushing proactive attrition, it remains highly reliant on its commander. A light protection package leaves Kaalia vulnerable to cheap interaction, and the lack of sustained card draw engines can cause the deck to run out of gas if its initial assault is disrupted.
