Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Zombie Aristocrats build piloted by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The primary strategy focuses on assembling a resilient engine of recursive Zombie bodies, sacrifice outlets, and life-drain payoffs. Early turns establish mana rocks and disposable Zombie creatures before deploying Wilhelt on Turn 4 to convert dying creatures into 2/2 decayed tokens and end-step card draw. By Turn 6, the deck leverages asymmetric sacrifice effects like Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos to strip opponents of their creatures while steadily depleting their life totals through drain cards such as Diregraf Captain and Bastion of Remembrance. Lacking fast mana and tutors, the deck trades blistering combo speed for overwhelming board attrition and tribal synergy, typically closing games around Turn 8 through wide combat swings and sustained aristocrat triggers.
