Forces of the Imperium Upgrade Guide: Turn Every Clue and Soldier Into Lethal Drain

Out of the box, Forces of the Imperium splits its mana between go-wide tokens and clunky five-to-seven-mana beatsticks while running an enchantment that kills its own Soldiers. We cut the traps and unite Inquisitor Greyfax's +1/+0 vigilance anthem and instant-speed Clues into a resilient Esper token engine at $25, $50, and $100.

Forces of the Imperium wants to flood the table with tokens, turn them sideways with [[Inquisitor Greyfax]] for +1/+0 and vigilance, and grind through long games with Clue tokens, [[Marneus Calgar]], and [[Commissar Severina Raine]]. Out of the box, the deck gets in its own way: twenty spells cost five to seven mana, its only instant wipe protection spell ([[And They Shall Know No Fear]]) forces you to name a single creature type when your board is split across Soldiers, Astartes, and Humans, and [[The Flesh Is Weak]] actively kills any 1/1 Soldier token you create after it lands.

If you buy one card today, pick up [[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]] ($2.69). For three mana, she creates three 1/1 Human tokens tapped and attacking on every swing. Under [[Inquisitor Greyfax]], those tokens attack for six damage right away and stay at 1 toughness in your second main phase so [[Skullclamp]] still kills them to draw two cards. Each budget tier below stands on its own, so you can jump straight to the one that fits your wallet:

  • $25 (26 swaps, $24.89): Cuts the five-to-seven-mana clunkers and self-sabotaging traps for repeatable token generators, Clue payoffs, whole-board wipe protection, and five untapped dual lands.
  • $50 (24 swaps, $49.95): Adds [[Caretaker's Talent]], [[Academy Manufactor]], [[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]], and [[Hylda of the Icy Crown]] so every Clue Greyfax makes on opponents' turns draws cards, drains the table, and triples into Treasure.
  • $100 (27 swaps, $99.89): Locks opponents out of casting spells during your turn with [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]], fires off token triggers on every player's upkeep via [[Illustrious Wanderglyph]], and closes games on the spot with [[Akroma's Will]].

Why +1/+0 and Vigilance Change Everything

Nothing feels worse in this precon than spending six mana on a Squad creature, casting [[The Flesh Is Weak]] the next turn, and watching every 1/1 Soldier token you make afterward die on entry. Because [[The Flesh Is Weak]] only puts +1/+1 counters on creatures you control when it enters and gives nonartifact creatures -1/-1, any nonartifact 1/1 token created later enters with 0 toughness and goes straight to the graveyard. Even when you avoid that trap, holding up five mana for [[Grey Knight Paragon]] or [[Sister of Silence]] forces you to skip developing your board, and a single board wipe resets two turns of Squad mana.

The fix starts by reading [[Inquisitor Greyfax]] word for word. First, she grants other creatures +1/+0 rather than +1/+1. That toughness gap is a gift: your 1/1 tokens hit twice as hard in combat as 2/1s, yet stay at 1 toughness so [[Skullclamp]] still kills them immediately to draw two cards. Second, team-wide vigilance lets your entire army attack full-out and remain untapped to Convoke spells, tap for [[Belisarius Cawl]], or block across three opponents' turns. Third, her {1}, {T} Hunt for Heresy ability creates an artifact Clue token at instant speed, which triggers token-entry payoffs like [[Marneus Calgar]] on opponents' turns without needing to crack the Clue.

How the Deck Wins

Your early turns belong to the precon's eight cheap mana rocks and low-curve token producers, putting [[Inquisitor Greyfax]] on the battlefield by turn three or four. Once she is online, your tokens pull double duty every turn cycle: they attack as vigilant 2/1s and 3/2s during combat, then stay upright to protect your life total, pay Convoke costs on [[Hour of Reckoning]] or [[Clever Concealment]], or get cashed in to [[Skullclamp]] and [[Commissar Severina Raine]] for fresh cards. Meanwhile, [[Celestine, the Living Saint]] attacks as a 4/4 vigilant flying lifelinker under Greyfax, gaining 4 life on her own so her end-step trigger returns any creature card with mana value 4 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield.

Say you untap on turn six with [[Inquisitor Greyfax]], [[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]], [[Mirkwood Bats]], and [[Commissar Severina Raine]] alongside four Soldier tokens. You swing with Greyfax, Adeline, Raine, and your four Soldiers, stacking Adeline's attack trigger to resolve before Raine's: Adeline creates three tapped-and-attacking 1/1 Humans, triggering [[Mirkwood Bats]] to drain each opponent for 3 life before [[Commissar Severina Raine]]'s attack trigger counts your nine other attackers and drains each opponent for 9 more. With Greyfax's +1/+0 anthem, those seven tokens represent 14 combat damage on top of your legends. Because your declared attackers have vigilance, Greyfax, Adeline, Raine, and the four Soldiers stay untapped after combat to Convoke protection or block on the crackback, while Adeline's three tapped Humans can be cashed in to [[Skullclamp]] or Raine's sacrifice ability for cards.

$25 Tier: Fixing the Curve, the Clues, and the Glass Jaw

The $25 tier clears out the precon's self-sabotaging cards, five-to-seven-mana single beatsticks, and clunky reactive five-drops across 26 swaps. In their place, it builds a low-curve engine of repeatable 1/1 token makers, Clue payoffs that drain the table, and whole-board protection spells that cover Humans, Soldiers, and Astartes at the same time.

Out of the box, generating enough bodies for [[Commissar Severina Raine]] or [[Reconnaissance Mission]] requires dumping six or seven mana into Squad costs or [[Deploy to the Front]]. [[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]], [[Hero of Bladehold]], and [[Endless Foot Assault]] generate attacking 1/1 tokens on every combat step for three or four mana. Because [[Inquisitor Greyfax]] and [[Hero of Bladehold]]'s battle cry both grant +1/+0, those fresh 1/1s attack for 2 or 3 damage apiece during combat while staying at 1 toughness the entire time, so [[Skullclamp]] still turns any survivor into two cards in your second main phase. When you are ready to end a game, [[Starlight Spectacular]] pumps your entire attacking line by +1/+1 per creature chosen before it at the beginning of combat, while leaving the new 1/1s you make when you attack open to [[Skullclamp]].

Clue tokens stop sitting idle on your board once the new Clue package lands. [[Teysa, Opulent Oligarch]] investigates at your end step for each opponent who lost life that turn, routinely making three Clues after a wide attack or a [[Commissar Severina Raine]] trigger, and creates a 1/1 flying Spirit token once each turn when a Clue goes to your graveyard. [[Forensic Gadgeteer]] cuts the cost to sacrifice Clues from {2} to {1}, while [[Piper Wright, Publick Reporter]] and [[Ethereal Investigator]] flood the board with even more Clues and Spirits. With [[Mirkwood Bats]] and [[Nadier's Nightblade]] out, every Clue you create and crack drains all three opponents without touching the red zone.

Vigilance becomes a mana engine alongside [[Drumbellower]] and [[Thousand Moons Smithy // Barracks of the Thousand]]. [[Drumbellower]] untaps [[Inquisitor Greyfax]], [[Belisarius Cawl]], and the rest of your creatures on every opponent's untap step: Greyfax can activate Hunt for Heresy four times per turn cycle, while Cawl untaps on each turn to tap spare Clues and artifact creatures for 2/2 Astartes tokens or tap your creatures to dig for artifacts. Meanwhile, [[Thousand Moons Smithy // Barracks of the Thousand]] enters with a Gnome Soldier token whose power and toughness equal your combined artifacts and creatures, then taps five of your vigilant attackers or Clues in your next first main phase to flip into a land that spawns another giant Gnome whenever its mana casts an artifact or creature spell.

Your wipe protection no longer cares about creature types. Because your army attacks with vigilance, your creatures remain untapped after combat to Convoke [[Clever Concealment]] for zero mana, phasing out your Soldiers, Astartes, Humans, Vehicles, and Clues against destruction, exile, or bounce wipes alike. [[Duty Beyond Death]] sacrifices a single 1/1 token for {1}{W} to give your entire team indestructible and a +1/+1 counter, and [[Elspeth, Sun's Champion]] replaces the self-destructive [[Exterminatus]] by pumping out three 1/1 Soldiers a turn or wiping every creature with power 4 or greater while sparing Greyfax and your tokens.

Cutting [[Redemptor Dreadnought]], [[Reaver Titan]], [[Knight Paladin]], and [[Callidus Assassin]] drops four clunky five-to-seven-mana cards that did nothing for your token count, while five untapped dual lands and [[Vault of the Archangel]] replace the precon's slowest taplands. Instead of tapping out for a single vehicle and praying nobody casts a board wipe, you curve out on time, attack with an untouchable wall of vigilant tokens, and drain the table every time a Clue hits or leaves play.

Add Cut Price Why
[[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]] [[Redemptor Dreadnought]] $2.69 Creates three attacking 1/1 Humans every combat that swing as 2/1s under Greyfax and feed Skullclamp.
[[Clever Concealment]] [[Grey Knight Paragon]] $3.80 Vigilant attackers tap to Convoke this for zero mana, phasing out your entire board against any wipe.
[[Mirkwood Bats]] [[Sanguinary Priest]] $0.97 Drains all three opponents whenever you create or sacrifice a token, turning every Clue into table-wide life loss.

[[Forensic Gadgeteer]] [[The Golden Throne]] $2.04 Investigates on every artifact spell you cast and cuts Clue activation costs in half to {1}.
[[Drumbellower]] [[Callidus Assassin]] $2.57 Untaps your board on every opponent's turn so Greyfax and Belisarius Cawl can activate four times each round.

[[Endless Foot Assault]] [[Deploy to the Front]] $1.96 Comes down at three mana with Squad and generates three attacking 1/1 Ninjas on every swing.
[[Hero of Bladehold]] [[Thunderwolf Cavalry]] $0.62 Creates two attacking 1/1 Soldiers and gives +1/+0 via battle cry, boosting combat damage without turning off Skullclamp.
[[Ethereal Investigator]] [[Sister Repentia]] $0.40 Investigates three times on entry in a four-player pod and makes flying Spirits when you draw extra cards.
[[Baron Bertram Graywater]] [[Neyam Shai Murad]] $0.31 Spawns lifelink Vampires when tokens enter and cashes in spare Clues or tokens to draw cards.
[[Piper Wright, Publick Reporter]] [[Cybernetica Datasmith]] $0.36 Swings as a 2/2 vigilant attacker under Greyfax to make two Clues and grows your creatures when Clues crack.
[[Nadier's Nightblade]] [[Knight Paladin]] $0.27 Drains each opponent and gains life whenever a creature token dies or a Clue is sacrificed.
[[Guardian of Faith]] [[Sister of Silence]] $0.61 Flashes in for three mana to phase out your army against exile or bounce wipes.
[[Duty Beyond Death]] [[Entrapment Maneuver]] $0.30 Sacrifices one 1/1 token for two mana to make your whole team indestructible and permanently larger.
[[Void Rend]] [[Utter End]] $0.31 Destroys any nonland permanent at instant speed for one less mana and cannot be countered.
[[Lethal Scheme]] [[Deny the Witch]] $0.23 Vigilant creatures tap to Convoke this removal spell for free while conniving to filter your hand.
[[Vault of the Archangel]] [[Memorial to Glory]] $1.04 Enters untapped and gives your vigilant army deathtouch and lifelink to fuel Celestine's end-step reanimation.
[[Caves of Koilos]] [[Scoured Barrens]] $0.37 Provides untapped white and black mana from turn one so early token makers hit on curve.
[[Adarkar Wastes]] [[Tranquil Cove]] $0.35 Supplies immediate untapped white and blue mana to deploy Greyfax without losing a turn to a tapland.
[[Drowned Catacomb]] [[Dismal Backwater]] $0.42 Enters untapped alongside your basic Islands and Swamps to fix blue and black on time.
[[Glacial Fortress]] [[Terramorphic Expanse]] $0.28 Uses your high basic Plains and Island count to enter untapped for white and blue.
[[Isolated Chapel]] [[Evolving Wilds]] $0.26 Pairs with fifteen basic Plains and Swamps to deliver untapped white and black mana immediately.

$50 Tier: Turning Every Clue Into Three Artifacts and Nonstop Cards

The $50 tier supercharges [[Inquisitor Greyfax]]'s instant-speed Hunt for Heresy ability so that activating her on opponents' turns draws cards, drains the table, and buries the pod in artifact tokens across 24 swaps. It keeps the $25 core that fixed the curve and board-wipe weakness: [[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]] and [[Hero of Bladehold]] supply attacking 1/1s that stay at 1 toughness for [[Skullclamp]], [[Clever Concealment]] phases out your vigilant board for zero mana, [[Mirkwood Bats]] and [[Nadier's Nightblade]] drain opponents on every token event, and [[Teysa, Opulent Oligarch]] refills your Clue supply after combat.

In the stock precon, [[Marneus Calgar]] is the only card that rewards you the moment a token enters the battlefield. [[Caretaker's Talent]] and [[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]] give you two three-mana redundancy pieces that trigger on both creature tokens and Greyfax's Clues. Because [[Caretaker's Talent]]'s Level 1 ability triggers once each turn whenever one or more tokens you control enter, creating tokens during your combat step draws a card on your turn, and activating [[Inquisitor Greyfax]]'s {1}, {T} ability on an opponent's turn draws another card right away. [[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]] has no once-per-turn cap on his second ability: every separate token creation event drains each opponent for 1 life and gains you 1 life, while his first ability gives you tapped copies of the first batch of Treasures or creature tokens your opponents create each turn.

Everything accelerates when [[Academy Manufactor]] hits the board. Every Clue created by [[Inquisitor Greyfax]], [[Teysa, Opulent Oligarch]], or [[Ethereal Investigator]] enters alongside a Food and a Treasure token. Because all three tokens enter simultaneously from a single effect, [[Caretaker's Talent]], [[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]], and [[Marneus Calgar]] each trigger once per Investigate, while [[Mirkwood Bats]] triggers separately for each token created: one activation of Greyfax's ability makes three artifacts and drains each opponent for 3 life before you even crack the Treasure or the Clue. Once you have a pile of Clues, Foods, Treasures, and Signets sitting on the battlefield, [[Cyberdrive Awakener]] turns every noncreature artifact you control into a 4/4 flying creature for an immediate lethal swing.

[[Hylda of the Icy Crown]] turns Greyfax's tap ability into a two-mana toolbox. Whenever you use Hunt for Heresy to tap an untapped creature an opponent controls, Hylda lets you pay {1} to create a 4/4 Elemental token, put a +1/+1 counter on your entire team, or scry 2 and draw a card. Meanwhile, [[Ainok Strike Leader]] and [[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]] lock down your board against sweepers. [[Ainok Strike Leader]] comes down for {1}{W}, creates three tapped-and-attacking 1/1 Goblin tokens whenever you attack with it and/or [[Inquisitor Greyfax]], and sacrifices for zero mana to make all your creature tokens indestructible. [[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]] counters opponents' zero-mana spells and sacrifices for free to give your entire team indestructible. Because both cost three mana or less, [[Celestine, the Living Saint]] can return either one from your graveyard to the battlefield at your end step.

To make room for these engines, we cut slow precon cards that work against a wide board: [[The Golden Throne]], [[Reaver Titan]], [[Callidus Assassin]], [[Sister of Silence]], and [[Arco-Flagellant]]. The result is a deck that generates Treasure from its own Clues, draws extra cards on opponents' turns, and turns a passive pile of artifacts into an airborne army.

Add Cut Price Why
[[Caretaker's Talent]] [[The Flesh Is Weak]] $9.93 Draws a card on every turn you make a token, copies Squad tokens, and replaces a self-sabotaging enchantment.
[[Academy Manufactor]] [[The Golden Throne]] $8.24 Turns every Clue into a Clue, Food, and Treasure, tripling your artifact count and mana generation.
[[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]] [[Sanguinary Priest]] $5.42 Drains all opponents and gains life whenever tokens enter, while copying tokens your opponents create.
[[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]] [[Sister of Silence]] $4.75 Stops opponents' free spells and sacrifices for zero mana to make your entire board indestructible.
[[Ainok Strike Leader]] [[Arco-Flagellant]] $3.64 Creates three attacking 1/1 Goblins when Greyfax swings and sacrifices for free to make creature tokens indestructible.
[[Hylda of the Icy Crown]] [[Callidus Assassin]] $3.51 Turns Greyfax's tap ability into a 4/4 Elemental, team-wide +1/+1 counters, or a card for {1}.
[[Cyberdrive Awakener]] [[Reaver Titan]] $1.83 Animates your stockpiled Clues, Foods, Treasures, and Signets into a lethal fleet of 4/4 flying creatures.
[[Mirkwood Bats]] [[Knight Paladin]] $0.97 Drains all three opponents whenever you create or sacrifice a token, doubly punishing Academy Manufactor turns.
[[Teysa, Opulent Oligarch]] [[Inquisitor Eisenhorn]] $0.28 Investigates up to three times at your end step after combat and spawns flying Spirits when Clues die.
[[Starlight Spectacular]] [[Deploy to the Front]] $0.55 Turns a wide token board into a lethal combat swing while leaving new 1/1s clampable before combat.
[[Elspeth, Sun's Champion]] [[Exterminatus]] $0.49 Makes three 1/1 Soldiers a turn and wipes big threats while sparing your tokens and mana rocks.
[[Nadier's Nightblade]] [[Cybernetica Datasmith]] $0.27 Drains each opponent and gains life whenever a creature token dies or an artifact token is sacrificed.
[[Void Rend]] [[Utter End]] $0.31 Destroys any nonland permanent at instant speed for one less mana and cannot be countered.
[[Castle Ardenvale]] [[Memorial to Glory]] $0.26 Enters untapped with any Plains and repeatedly creates 1/1 Human tokens without sacrificing a land.

$100 Tier: Every-Upkeep Token Engines and Unstoppable Alpha Strikes

The $100 tier removes the last windows your opponents have to interact with your board and automates your token triggers across every player's upkeep in 27 swaps. It keeps the $50 core that powers your mid-game: [[Caretaker's Talent]], [[Academy Manufactor]], and [[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]] turn token creation into cards, Treasures, and life drain; [[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]] and [[Clever Concealment]] shield your whole board for zero mana; and [[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]] and [[Cyberdrive Awakener]] pressure life totals from both the ground and the air.

With [[Inquisitor Greyfax]] alone, triggering your once-per-turn token engines on an opponent's turn still costs {1} and taps your commander. [[Illustrious Wanderglyph]] makes that automatic across the entire table. Because it creates a 1/1 Gnome artifact creature token at the beginning of each upkeep, it fires four times per turn cycle without costing a single mana. With [[Illustrious Wanderglyph]] on the battlefield, [[Caretaker's Talent]] draws four cards a round, [[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]] drains each opponent for 4 life and gains you 4 life a round, [[Baron Bertram Graywater]] spawns four lifelink Vampire tokens a round, and [[Marneus Calgar]] draws four more cards. And because you hit ten permanents effortlessly in a token and Clue deck, [[Illustrious Wanderglyph]]'s city's blessing gives all your other artifact creatures +2/+2 while leaving your nonartifact 1/1 Human and Soldier tokens at 1 toughness so [[Skullclamp]] still works.

[[Myrel, Shield of Argive]] solves two problems at once for four mana. First, during your turn, opponents cannot cast spells or activate abilities of artifacts, creatures, or enchantments, shutting down instant-speed removal, countermagic, and flash blockers while you deploy Squad threats or equip [[Skullclamp]]. Second, whenever Myrel attacks, she creates X 1/1 colorless Soldier artifact creature tokens, where X is the number of Soldiers you control. This deck is packed with Soldiers, including [[Company Commander]] and its tokens, [[Bastion Protector]], [[Commissar Severina Raine]], [[Sicarian Infiltrator]], [[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]], and tokens from [[Elspeth, Sun's Champion]], [[Hero of Bladehold]], [[Martial Coup]], and [[Launch the Fleet]]. Even better, Myrel's tokens are artifact creatures, so they immediately get +2/+2 from [[Illustrious Wanderglyph]], tap to fuel [[Belisarius Cawl]], and trigger [[Mirkwood Bats]] in massive batches.

Closing the game or surviving an opponent's desperate board wipe comes down to [[Akroma's Will]]. While you control [[Inquisitor Greyfax]], casting [[Akroma's Will]] lets you choose both modes: your entire army gains flying, vigilance, double strike, lifelink, indestructible, and protection from all colors until end of turn. Eight 2/1 vigilant tokens instantly become 32 points of flying, unblockable, lifelinking combat damage, while [[Minas Tirith]] replaces [[Memorial to Glory]] as an untapped white source alongside Greyfax that taps for {1}{W} to draw a card after any two-creature attack.

We cut the six-mana [[Sister Hospitaller]] because [[Celestine, the Living Saint]] already recurs your best creatures every end step, and we pair Celestine with the two-mana [[Selfless Spirit]] alongside [[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]], [[Clever Concealment]], and [[Akroma's Will]]. Your opponents cannot interact on your turn, cannot wipe your board on theirs, and take lethal damage the moment you untap with a wide battlefield.

Add Cut Price Why
[[Myrel, Shield of Argive]] [[Sister Hospitaller]] $17.80 Shuts off opponents' interaction during your turn and creates a pile of Soldier artifact tokens on every attack.
[[Illustrious Wanderglyph]] [[Callidus Assassin]] $16.34 Creates a Gnome token on every player's upkeep to trigger your draw and drain engines four times a round.
[[Akroma's Will]] [[Entrapment Maneuver]] $16.55 Grants your entire army double strike, flying, lifelink, indestructible, and protection while Greyfax is on the board.
[[Minas Tirith]] [[Memorial to Glory]] $5.98 Enters untapped alongside Greyfax and draws a card for two mana whenever you attack with two creatures.
[[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]] [[Sister of Silence]] $4.75 Stops opponents' free spells and sacrifices for zero mana to make your entire board indestructible.
[[Clever Concealment]] [[Grey Knight Paragon]] $3.80 Vigilant attackers tap to Convoke this for zero mana, phasing out your entire board against any wipe.
[[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]] [[Redemptor Dreadnought]] $2.69 Creates three attacking 1/1 Humans every combat that swing as 2/1s under Greyfax and feed Skullclamp.
[[Hero of Bladehold]] [[Thunderwolf Cavalry]] $0.62 Creates two attacking 1/1 Soldiers and gives +1/+0 via battle cry, boosting combat damage without turning off Skullclamp.
[[Selfless Spirit]] [[Arco-Flagellant]] $0.45 Sacrifices for free to make every creature type indestructible and returns at your end step via Celestine.
[[Void Rend]] [[Utter End]] $0.31 Destroys any nonland permanent at instant speed for one less mana and cannot be countered.
[[Teysa, Opulent Oligarch]] [[Inquisitor Eisenhorn]] $0.28 Investigates up to three times at your end step after combat and spawns flying Spirits when Clues die.
[[Nadier's Nightblade]] [[Cybernetica Datasmith]] $0.27 Drains each opponent and gains life whenever a creature token dies or an artifact token is sacrificed.
[[Lethal Scheme]] [[Deny the Witch]] $0.23 Vigilant creatures tap to Convoke this removal spell for free while conniving to filter your hand.

Where to Take the Imperium Next

Once you trim the top-heavy Warhammer vehicles and self-sabotaging enchantments, [[Inquisitor Greyfax]] becomes one of the sharpest go-wide commanders in Esper. If you just want the precon to play smoothly and survive board wipes without losing its flavor, the $25 tier gets you there for less than a booster pack's worth of singles. If you want Greyfax's Clue ability to feel like a true three-color engine, the $50 tier is the sweet spot, while the $100 tier is built for tables where you need to close games fast through heavy interaction.

Beyond the $100 Budget

  • [[Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation // Temple of Civilization]] ($29.15), [[Mondrak, Glory Dominus]] ($42.16), and [[Anointed Procession]] ($54.66): Any of these token multipliers turns a single [[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]] swing or Squad spell into an instant army, and [[Mondrak, Glory Dominus]] and [[Anointed Procession]] also double Greyfax's Clues and [[Academy Manufactor]]'s Treasures.
  • [[Bennie Bracks, Zoologist]] ($11.37) and [[Flawless Maneuver]] ($9.30): Both just missed the $100 cap behind [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]] and [[Illustrious Wanderglyph]], and both shine with Greyfax's vigilance and instant-speed Clues.
  • [[Teferi's Protection]] ($34.97), [[Smothering Tithe]] ($54.28), and [[Fierce Guardianship]] ($60.55): All three are Game Changers that we excluded to keep the deck in Bracket 2, but if your playgroup plays Bracket 3 or higher, they slot right in.

Even within Bracket 2, the $50 and $100 lists hit much harder and recover from board wipes far better than a stock precon, so give your pod a quick heads-up before you shuffle up.
